Friends of the Library Book Sales Overstock and Special Book Sale Weekends In addition to year-round book sales at the shop, YDL's Friends of the Library hosts three overstock book sales each year. Upcoming dates: January 15-17, 2010 May 14-16, 2010 September 17-19, 2010 Hardcovers - $1.00 / Paperbacks - $.25 / Oversize paperbacks - $.50 Members only preview sale:Thursday, January 14, from 6-8pm (membership may be purchased at the door). Regular sale hours: Friday from 11am to 5pm Saturday from 11am to 3pm Sunday from 1pm to 3pm During these weekends the Friends put their overstocked books and special finds on sale at YDL-Whittaker Road, 5577 Whittaker Road in the Community Meeting Room. Buyers on Sunday may purchase a bag full of books for $3 and special books are reduced in price. All proceeds from the Friends book sales whether at these mega sales or at the Friends Shop are donated to the library to support programs for kids and adults, purchase special equipment, and underwrite the newsletter.
