As a public agency, YDL is committed to making clear, transparent financial information available to the taxpayers and donors who support the library. Annual Reports also highlight the library’s key accomplishments over the year, and offer insight into the stories of the patrons and staff that are the heart of the library.

Our 2018 Annual Report shares YDL’s accomplishments during a busy year and commemorates our 150th Anniversary.
2018 Highlights include:
- Our 150th Anniversary, which we celebrated with a birthday party at all locations, a fundraising Gala, and is noted with comparative library statistics from 1868 to 2018.
- The Library Millage, which passed by a 2:1 margin and will enable YDL to remain fiscally healthy and continue to meet community needs as a 21st century library.
- Digital expansions including a new website which saw a 40% growth in web traffic, a new library app for Android and iPhone, and an expansion of our eBook and eAudiobook collections.
- New Programs including a voter education partnership with the League of Women Voters, the introduction of high- and low- tech STEM kits, the new Ypsi Family Read youth book experience, and partnerships with WCC to promote Entrepreneurship.
