Friends Membership

The Friends Mission

Stimulate community interest in the Library.

Work for the expansion and improvement of Library facilities.

Provide financial and other assistance for the improvement of services.

Administer the Jeanne Jordan Memorial Trust: the interest is used to purchase mystery books.

Administer the Eugene and Sibylla Gibson Trust: the interest is used to purchase Art and Architectural books.

What You Can Do

Volunteer at the Friends shop

Volunteer at book sales

Volunteer at the Library:

- As a Customer Service Desk greeter

- Do home delivery of books to homebound patrons

- To sort, process, and clean books

- As a story and craft helper

How To Volunteer

Print and fill out the Friends Membership Form and drop it off at the Friends Shop or at the Circulation Desk at the Ypsilanti District Library.
