Volunteers at the Ypsilanti District Library provide an important service by assisting the library in its mission.
The library does not accept volunteers through any court-ordered program.

Event Volunteers
In addition, YDL occasionally looks for volunteers to provide extra hands at our biggest programs. These events happen 2-3 times per year and are typically held on Saturdays. Examples of this type of work may include:
- Operating an activity station
- Helping prepare craft supplies
To be notified of upcoming events that need volunteers, please join our email list and check the “volunteer” box.
Teen Volunteers
Teens ages 14-18 can earn volunteer hours by participating in the Teen Advisory Group (TAG). TAG members plan programs for teens, run art and music workshops, and occasionally help with programs for younger kids. Being part of TAG is a great way to build your résumé, meet new people, and help your community!
To join TAG, fill out the Teen Advisory Group interest form.
