Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Reads 2010

Community Reads 2010 represents the seventh year of YDL's collaboration with the Ann Arbor District Library, the University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University, and Washtenaw Community College.

Each year a theme is selected and a book is chosen for the community to read and discuss. The theme for 2010 is Michigan.

This year's selection is The Living Great Lakes: searching for the heart of the inland seas, by Jerry Dennis.

This book chronicles Dennis’ travels as a crew member on the schooner Malabar on a six-week trip through the waters of Lakes Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie and Superior.

Please join us at Washtenaw Community College's Morris Lawrence Building on Thursday, January 28 from 7:30- 8:30 pm to hear Jerry Dennis Discuss this year's book.
