Groups for adults:

Monday Evening Book Group
Meets the second Monday of the month at 7pm, Conference Room 1C. For details, call 482-4110, ext. 1306. This group will not meet in June. View upcoming titles

African American Authors Book Group
Meets the last Tuesday of the month at 7 pm in the Community Room. For details, call 420-4110, ext. 1306. View upcoming titles

Mystery Lovers Book Group
Join other amateur sleuths once a month on Wednesdays at 2 pm in Conference Room 1C to discuss mystery novels. For details, call 420-4110, ext. 1356. View upcoming titles

Thursday Morning Book Group
Meets the first Thursday of each month at 10:30 am in Conference room 1C. For details, call 420-4110, ext. 1356. This group will not meet in July or August. View upcoming titles

Groups for younger readers:

Mother/Daughter Book Club
Meets the third Monday of the month at 7:00 pm. This group is for mothers and their daughters in grades 4-6. Discussions will focus on issues such as growing up, relationships, and the characters in the story. Call to register: 482-4110, ext. 1340.

Boys Book Club
Meets the fourth Thursday of the month at 7 pm. Boys ages 10-12 help choose interesting books to read and then talk about the characters, the plots, the heroes, and the villains. Call to register: 482-4110, ext. 1340.

Folktales and Fractured Fairy Tale Book Group
This group is for grades 1-3 and meets at 6:30 on the second Monday of each month (1/14, 2/11, 3/10, and 3/14). Kids read a book provided by the library and then the group meets to discuss versions of our favorite folktales and fairy tales. A craft is done during the meeting. Registration is required; call 482-4110, ext. 1340.

Groups for adults:

ESL Book Group
Study English as a Second Language in a casual, comfortable atmosphere. The group uses books and other materials written in English as a framework for conversation. To learn more, call Washtenaw Literacy at 482-4110 ext. 1385 or 1320.

Groups for younger readers:

Girls Rule Book Group
Open to girls going into grades 6-8, this is an informal discussion group which meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. Girls choose the books we read. Pre-registration is required by calling 482-4110, ext. 1314, but is open to new participants. The purpose is to get a diverse group of girls together to discuss the same book in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Books and snacks are provided! View upcoming titles

Kids Only Book Club
The Kids Only Book Club is for kids in grades 3-5. The club meets monthly for snacks and discussion about books selected just for them. Registration is required by calling 482-4110, ext. 1390.

Teen Girls Rule, Too! Book Group
This group is designed for girls in grades 9-12. It regularly meets the second Friday of the month at 7 p.m. The location changes from month to month, but usually involves a coffee shop. Registration is required by calling 482-4110 ext. 1314. View upcoming titles
