Through a Lens: Photography for Older Adults

A LEARNING NEVER GETS OLD PROGRAM

Exhibit opening reception: YDL-Michigan, Sunday, May 17, Reception 2pm

A small group of beginning photographers spent the last several weeks studying the art of photography with teaching artist Professor Jennifer Baker and Literature Professor Heather Neff. View and celebrate the finished work from the class at this special reception!

This program is part of the program series, In Focus: Photography at YDL, which coincides with the visit of Artist in Residence Rose Eichenbaum. Ms. Eichenbaum also spent one session working with the Through A Lens class, and her exhibition The Director Within will be on display at YDL-Whittaker concurrently with this display at YDL-Michigan.

Please note that this is a special after-hours program and that YDL-Michigan will not be open for regular library business on Sunday.

The Ypsilanti District Library's Whittaker Road location, located at 5577 Whittaker Road, will close today at 12:30pm.

YDL-Michigan and YDL-Superior will remain open during their regular hours. Patrons are encouraged to visit our other locations to access library services and cooling centers. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The chiller for the air conditioning unit is being replaced, and parts have been ordered. It is expected to be fully repaired in early June. Until then, YDL staff will monitor the building temperature and may close the building as necessary to ensure the health and comfort of patrons and staff.
