What are eAudiobooks?

eAudiobooks are digital versions of unabridged audiobooks, provided by NetLibrary and Recorded Books, available via the internet.

Unlimited copies of a single title for YDL patrons, with no need to place requests.

Requirements

High speed internet access at home using a computer that supports Windows Media Player 9 or above.

A portable audio device, such as an MP3 player or Pocket PC, that will support playback of secure or protected WMA files is needed to listen on the go. Note: eAudiobooks are not compatible with Apple iPods. Additional information on supported devices is available at the library. Please ask at the reference desk at the Whittaker Road or Michigan Avenue location.

Access Details

You will need to type in your library card number and PIN number after clicking on "Ready to Download" below.

You will also need to register for a free NetLibrary account. Click on the "Create a Free Account" link once you are at the NetLibrary/Recorded Books website. After your account is established you'll need to log in each time you return to the website to download eAudiobooks.

If you already have a NetLibrary account previously set up to access eBooks, you may use that account to access eAudiobooks as well.
