Policies

The YDL Board of Trustees develops many policies to govern the public library and to enhance the experience of library users. The Library's formally adopted written policy manual is updated regularly as the Board amends old policies and adds new throughout the year. Several of the most critical policies are found here. The full policy manual is available in the Administrative area of the Whittaker Road facility.

Dark Aemilia

By O'Reilly, Sally

Book

Elizabethan London comes alive in this richly atmospheric novel about Shakespare's "Dark Lady."  Aemilia Bassano, once favored by the queen, is now on the edge of disaster.  Barely surviving a miserable marriage and fearing exposure to the plague, Aemilia must turn to her estranged lover, William Shakespeare, in order to save her son.  Kirkus Reviews calls O'Reilly's American debut a "gripping novel with a fesisty feminine voice."
