Support Your Library
The Ypsilanti District Library offers a wide range of opportunities for individuals, organizations, and corporations who wish to make a monetary contribution to YDL. Your gift matters to YDL and will help us fulfill the library’s mission “to enrich life, stimulate intellectual curiosity, foster literacy, and encourage an informed citizenry.” Few organizations provide the broad array of resources and services found here at YDL – and all available free of charge. In 2011, 902,518 items were borrowed. Library program attendance rose 19% to nearly 46,000 and 78% of our service population had current library cards. Your generous support will help us meet this unprecedented increase in the demand for quality library service!
Cash is the most popular type of charitable gift given to the Library. Outright cash via a check made out to the Ypsilanti District Library can be mailed to YDL located at 5577 Whittaker Road, Ypsilanti, MI 48197.
You can now charge gifts to YDL online. You may skip logging in with your library card number by clicking the green "Make a Donation" button.
- Planned Giving
Individuals may leave a lasting impact on YDL through estate planning. Planned gifts include bequests through estates or wills, charitable trusts, and annuities. Please contact the Library Director at (734) 482-4110, ext. 1300 for further information.
