About Pitch Ypsi:
Pitch Ypsi was established in 2016 by community, organization, and business leaders who sought to inspire, support and celebrate Ypsilanti-area entrepreneurs. These leaders recognized the need for entrepreneurs, who live or go to school in the Ypsilanti area, to get plugged in with local partners for resources and support. These partners include WCC Entrepreneurship Center, SBDC, SPARK, Growing Hope, and the City of Ypsilanti. With the collective support of partners, Pitch Ypsi successfully launched two events in 2017.
Between the two competitions held in 2017, Pitch Ypsi received over 100 applications to pitch ideas for non-profit, for-profit, and social enterprise business sectors. Collectively, winners of the 2017 Pitch Ypsi events were awarded $10K in grand prize money and over $10K in in-kind in legal and professional services.
