When the weather turns cold, there’s no better place to spend time than the library. This year, we’ll jump-start the season with a winter celebration!

On December 14, YDL-Whittaker will be transformed into a winter wonderland. Entering the library, you’ll see a beautiful ice carving demonstration. Kids can pet and have photos taken with live reindeer on the lawn in front of the triangular bay. Also in the triangular bay, listen to music from the A capella quartet, Odyssey

The event will also have craft projects for adults and kids, so everyone can create a unique wintry project to bring home or give as a gift. All materials will be provided and there will be projects for all skill levels. If you’re unable to attend, and hate missing out on crafts, click these links to learn how to create fake snow or make 3-D snowflakes at home. These are the instructions we’ll be using for the kid’s crafts during our Winter Wonderland event.

Also, don’t miss the hot chocolate and a door prize drawing for a winter-themed gift basket.
