American Insurrection
Print Friendly, PDF & Email

This series screens films that provide the needed opportunity to safely engage and understand the ways racism has functioned historically and continues to work in the present. This month’s documentary will be FRONTLINE’s American Insurrection, a concise and gripping deconstruction of how racist organizations and domestic terrorists have become emboldened in the United States, and what their expansion could mean for the country going forward. FRONTLINE and ProPublica team up to examine how far-right groups were emboldened and encouraged by former President Trump and how individuals were radicalized and brought into the political landscape. La’Ron Williams, local storyteller and peace activist, will facilitate an open, honest discussion about race and racism.
