Cinetopia Film Festival cancels, plans 2021 return

CINETOPIA FILM FESTIVAL CANCELS   The curtain has come down for the Cinetopia Film Festival — at least for 2020. The event, which runs in metro Detroit and Ann Arbor, had been moved from spring to Aug. 21-30 and has now been canceled entirely, “with the healthy and safety of our audience as our highest priority, due to the continuing Covid-19 pandemic. Cinetopia organizers have announced 2021 dates for May 14-23. Festival staff will contact those who have purchased passes with refund and credit information. The fest was scheduled to take place May 8-17, then moved to August 21-30,  2020. …
