Early this year, visitors to YDL-Superior should notice changes happening at the adjacent playground. Superior Township Parks and Recreation received a Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $30,000 to expand Fireman’s Park. The renovated playground will include slides, climbers, and musical play panels.
The new structure will be ADA accessible with the installation of a 6’ wide sidewalk leading up to the equipment. The total playground area will increase to approximately 2,500 square feet.
Construction is scheduled for spring 2020, so Fireman’s Park will be ready for early summer when kids get out of school.
