As a public agency, YDL is committed to making clear, transparent financial information available to the taxpayers and donors who support the library. Annual Reports also highlight the library’s key accomplishments over the year, and offer insight into the stories of the patrons and staff that are the heart of the library.

Current Annual Report: 2023

Our 2023 Annual Report highlights how we are bouncing back from the flood damage at YDL-Michigan, an important STEM grant from Toyota, highlights of the first year at the new Superior branch, and more.

2023 Highlights include:
  • Bouncing back from a flood at the downtown branch and our plans to reopen with even more resources for patrons.
  • A STEM grant from Toyota that allowed us to purchase more activity kits and host more STEM-related programs that has been extended to 2024.
  • A new history page that houses a new collection of interviews with local food growers, along with our Ypsi Stories podcast, A.P. Marshall Oral History Archive, and more.
  • Our new mission statement: The Ypsilanti District Library builds community through discovery, education, and partnerships.
  • An overview of the impact that the new Superior branch has had in it’s first year, with some statistics to illustrate.
