The Friends of the Ypsilanti District Library is a membership-based organization that raises more than $30,000 each year to support the library. The Friends’ support makes popular library programs possible such as the Summer Challenge, touring exhibits, and the library newsletter, The Loop.
The mission of the Friends of the Ypsilanti District Library is to stimulate community interest in the library, to provide financial assistance for the improvement of library services, and to work for the expansion of library facilities.
Anyone can become a Friend! Membership starts at just $10. Members get exclusive access to a preview night before each major book sale and are integral to supporting the library.
The Friends are always welcoming new volunteers. Sign up today to help with book sorting, sale prep, online sales, or become a book shop volunteer. We welcome you!
To join or volunteer for the Friends of YDL, please fill out the membership form and return it to any library. Membership may also be purchased at any weekend book sale, or by asking at a library desk.
