INTERNET HELP

Many internet providers are offering low-cost options, free wifi access, and not disconnecting for non-payment. See this article from PC World for information about various providers, as well as more information at the links below:

  • Six months’ free internet service available to all Ypsilanti Community Schools families. Click here for more information.
  • Comcast Internet Essentials – Comcast is allowing free access to Xfinity’s wifi network
  • Spectrum Internet Assist
  • Access from AT&T
  • FCC’s Lifeline Program: Put in your zip code and find low-cost options from providers in your area
  • Charter will be offering free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 or college students who do not currently have service.  It will start Monday, March 16, and be available for 60 days.  You must call 1-844-488-8395 to enroll. It will also open its Wi-Fi hotspots for public use.
  • Additionally, many media companies have signed a pledge to maintain connectivity without people enduring unnecessary hardships. Please see the press release for details on the pledge and the participating companies.
