Hear from Those Who Were There
As we observe the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and the loss of 2977 lives, this curated exhibition presents the history of 9/11, its origins, and its ongoing implications. This poster exhibition recounts the events of September 11, 2001 through the personal stories of those who witnessed and survived the attacks and includes archival photographs and images of artifacts.
This poster exhibit will be available for viewing at YDL-Michigan during regular hours and will be on display from Friday, September 10 through Monday, October 11.
Along with the poster exhibit, there is a wealth of digital resources available through the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. These resources include oral histories, first person accounts, and interactive timelines.
The 9/11 Memorial Museum collected over 1,000 oral histories from a wide variety of people affected by 9/11. Clips available on their website include stories from survivors, family members, and first responders.
