OverDrive app making way for Libby
If you use OverDrive to read your ebooks, we’d like to make sure you know about Libby. Libby is the app that OverDrive will be using going forward for distributing their content. Previously, you could access OverDrive content with your library card using either the Libby app or the OverDrive app. Now, the OverDrive app is being retired, and all OverDrive content is available through Libby. See below for details on how to update your preferences and get set up with Libby (if you aren’t already), and answers to other questions you might have about the change.
What’s happening?
- The OverDrive app has been removed from the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Microsoft Store.
- By the end of 2022, most OverDrive App users should be migrated to Libby.
- You are not losing access to any content, Libby is just the app through which OverDrive content will be accessed going forward.
