Get kids reading with the Summer Challenge Champions program

The Ypsilanti District Library (YDL) is seeking summer camps and summer schools to partner with for our Summer Challenge Champions program (SCC). SCC partners receive a bin of read-aloud books to borrow for the duration of their summer program and reading prizes for their participants. An optional independent reading bin for your reading-age kids is available as well. Your location is also eligible to receive up to three visits by the library with a storyteller.

YDL will provide the structure and tools to get kids reading with a goal of 20 minutes each day. With your help, we can ensure every child has the chance to read and listen to books every day.

Our registration form is now closed due to full capacity of summer visits.  See you next year and have a wonderful summer!

COVID-19 DISCLAIMER: The Ypsilanti District Library is committed to safely offering services during the pandemic. In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19, we may need to cancel in-person services if transmission rates are considered high or otherwise too risky.
