Teen Advisory Group
TAG’s mission is to inspire creative youth-driven opportunities for Ypsilanti Area teens by building meaningful connections at the library and in the broader community. We meet twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from 4:30-5:30pm. We have an advisory at each library location to make sure everyone gets a voice in what’s happening at their own home library.
We focus on developing teen leadership skills using the Youth Driven Spaces model. Advisory members volunteer at kids’ library programs, design teen programs and spaces, produce an annual teen summer stage, write grants, make presentations to other youth organizations, and more.
All students grades 8-12 interested in making a difference in the Ypsi community and having a voice at the library are encouraged to sign up using one of the forms below. Or stop by a Youth Reference Desk and ask more.
