Tax Preparation
Tax Preparation at YDL
AARP TaxAide
YDL serves as a site for free tax preparation. From February until mid-April, AARP offers tax assistance at the Whittaker Road and Superior branches. As the Michigan Ave. branch remains closed, no tax preparation services will be held there.
AARP’s TaxAide program is provided by trained volunteers in partnership with the IRS, primarily serving low and moderate income taxpayers. There is no age requirement, but this service especially targets those 50 years and older. AARP membership is not required.
Be aware: all AARP TaxAide appointments are booked. You may still be added to the waiting list by calling:
- Whittaker: 734-482-4110, x2411
- Superior: 734-482-4110, x2431
