On Fridays, YDL-Whittaker hosts Nature STEAM programs. On July 7, the featured topic was bread-making! Families were able to make a batch of bread from scratch and use herbs from the community vegetable garden.
While waiting for the bread to cook, kids were able to partake in the kindness rock painting activity. The activity allowed participants to think of what brings people joy or kindness and project those thoughts on a rock. The rocks were then placed around the community garden for all to see and enjoy.
