Learn about YDL-Whittaker’s Summer Snack Program! Brought to us by our friends at the Huron Valley Area Labor Federation.
This summer, YDL-Whittaker is offering a free Summer Snack Program twice a week!
Each Monday and Friday, we challenge kids to build their STEAM skills or get active. Programs that touch on a wide variety of activities from circuitry and paleontology to taekwondo and K-pop dance allow kids to continue learning outside of the classroom during the summer and to stay healthy, too. At the end of each program, YDL-Whittaker offers nutritious snacks for kids to cool off and refresh. Snacks include clementines, crackers, apple sauce pouches, and more!
This Summer Snack Program was made possible by the Huron Valley Area Labor Federation. This came as rising food and gas prices made it difficult for Food Gatherers to find a vendor, and YDL-Whittaker’s free lunch program was cut. In response, the Huron Valley Area Labor Federation gave YDL funding to provide snacks for our busiest programming during the summer.
If you would like to attend one of the events for the Snack Program, look at our events page linked to this post. Each event counts towards your Summer Challenge prizes. If you attend, look for the secret code and log a point!
