Temporary text message disruption

Published: June 13, 2025

On June 17, AT&T will discontinue its email-to-text and text-to-email service. This is part of a larger shift away from SMS text messaging by other providers. We are shifting to a new system for delivering YDL notices via text. However, this means there will be a temporary disruption to YDL text message alerts. Please keep an eye on our website and social media for when the text message alerts will continue. Email alerts will continue to be delivered as usual. You are also still able to check your account online.

Spring is the time of rebirth, so YDL is refreshing some of our Bookmobile routes. Since three of our stops have been unattended for some time, we’re breathing new life into those neighborhoods with brand-new ones! Starting Monday, March 3, we will no longer visit Perry School, Oakbrook Park, or Christ Temple.  We’re sad to see them go, but we’re ecstatic to announce new Bookmobile stops at Ainsworth & Ferris, Rue Vendome (between Rue Willette & Rue Deauville), and Wendell Holmes Park (by the baseball diamond) off Wendell Road near Holmes Elementary.
