The American Girl dolls have broken out of the case! YDL-Whittaker has replaced the doll display with new activity bins that encourage independent hands-on learning at the library. Ypsilanti Housing Commission Announces Waitlist Opening

The Ypsilanti Housing Commission has announced it will accept applications for its one-bedroom housing waitlist at Deborah Strong Housing from January 6-10. Applications will be accepted in person from 10am-3pm at 928 W Michigan Ave, or by faxing to (989) 400-4761. Deborah Strong Housing is composed of three different apartment complexes: Sauk Trail Pointe, Hollow Creek, and Towner. For more information about these properties, click here. The application will be available beginning January 6 at the Ypsilanti Housing Commission website or at 928 W. Sandhill Crane Film & Tour

Oct. 27: Join Bill Wells for Sandhill Crane film and tour On Sunday, Oct. 27 at 2 p.m., join local expert Bill Wells, who will show a film about Sandhill Cranes and then lead a driving tour to view them around the Waterloo Recreation Area at the Eddy Discovery Center. Visitors can expect to see large flocks of these magnificent birds at close range. Bring binoculars and cameras. The cost is $2 per person or $5 for a family. The Gerald E. Eddy Discovery Center is located at 17030 Bush Road in Sylvan Township.
